Where are you spending the Holidays?

With all the holidays rapidly approaching we have been trying to figure out what are plans were going to be. We live in one state, my husband’s family lives in another state 1,000 miles away, and my family lives in another state in the other direction about 800 miles away. We thought why not invite everyone here or at least the Grandparents. So we did just that called both of our parents and guess what everyone still wants us to come to their house, even though it is always a logistical nightmare. So we are thinking about boycotting going home for Christmas so we can actually enjoy Christmas at home this year. I am not so worried about what our parents think, I guess I worry that the kids would be sad not to see their Grandparents for Christmas.
Baby Shower at 20 Weeks Pregnant?

I received an invitation to a baby shower this week. The baby is not due until Mid January. The baby shower is September 8th. I find this odd but maybe I missed some new baby shower memo that said you are supposed to have your baby shower when you are 20 weeks pregnant! The new Daddy to be is a friend of my husband’s from work so I will of course send a gift. They found out they are having a girl and it is their first child. Twins in Kindergarten, Same or Different Classrooms?

In 2 weeks my twin boys will be starting Kindergarten. My boys are Fraternal Twins and most people don’t even know they are twins when they first see them. One twin has light blond hair and blue eyes and the other has dark blond hair and brown eyes. Then they really don’t think they are twins when they observe their personalities. They are total opposites! I have even had total strangers in stores argue with me about how my children can not possible be twins because they are so different. Read more
