Mom Jeans. This is a hot topic lately. Mom jeans are the jeans that we wore way back in the 80s that everyone loved. Now they are a cause for disgrace and disgust. If you do not remember back that far (some of us need a quick reminder, as our brains have been busy on other things, such as life) I will refresh your memory.

Mom jeans are the high-waisted jeans that taper at the ankle. The zippers on them are quite long, say about 8 or 9 inches. They were popular, but not very attractive unless you had a flat tummy. For one thing they tend to show your front essentials quite distinctively since they are pulled up so high. The derriere is also unattractive in these, as they tend to flatten out the curves that some women possess. They were often seen in cahoots with a thin belt.

Young girls wore them back then….us. Some of us never gave them up as fashion changed. It is true that some people are creatures of habit and we find change difficult. I finally gave up my mom jeans a few years back, but it took getting used to. I have to admit that the jeans that I wear now are a lot more comfortable. However, make sure that you are wearing the right underwear or else you will be the topic of another discussion that is quite popular.

By Zee Avin

Are you a lady who uses makeup and applies cosmetics on a frequent basis? Have you ever paused for a moment to think what is present in that cosmetic which you are using? Maybe you have not pondered about the organic purity of that cosmetics you are using and hence have no idea if there is bacteria growing inside your cosmetics. Or maybe you have not thought about the chemical preservatives present in the cosmetics which you are putting on your skin, and that these chemical preservatives may be absorbed by your skin pores and into your bloodstream.

Maybe you also do not know that women have been eating an average of four pounds of lipstick in their lifetime. Though we do not see any medical reports that girls are dying from lipstick, it does not seem to be cool to know that lipstick wearers are eating so much lipstick! Then there is also a problem with mascara as people who put on mascara absorb fallen bits of plastic and synthetic materials into their eyes daily. We also do not hear reports that these people are having eye problems.

It would be glad to know that these days, more and more consumers and manufacturers are getting concerned about the chemicals that are present in cosmetics. More people are now knowledgeable about going green and about harmful products. But when they hear the above, people usually have a few reactions. One is that they will swear off cosmetics and never to buy any cosmetics or use cosmetics anymore. Then they are those who would not be bothered in the least bit. Yet there is another group who would seek out better alternatives to these harmful cosmetics. This group would look for natural and organic cosmetics.

Organic cosmetics are cosmetics which has been manufactured, produced or distributed through organic means. These processes are defined by specific guidelines set by organizations such as the Organic Food Products Act and organic products such as organic cosmetics are not permitted by law to contain any synthetic makeup. Organic products are thus manufactured using substances which are grown without synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms.

As for natural cosmetics, these are cosmetics which has not been chemically altered from its original state, i.e. the product is in its natural form and no other substances were removed or added. Natural products such as natural cosmetics are derived from natural plants or animal sources but the use of the term is not regulated or certified. Tough this is some FDA regulation for cosmetics, such regulation is minimal and there are actually many toxic and carcinogenic ingredients found in cosmetics and so-called natural body care products.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health found that over 800 of the chemicals available for the use in cosmetics (not only makeup) have been reported to the government as toxic substances. Hence do be careful when buying natural cosmetics and take a good look at the label of ingredients that are present within the cosmetics.

I hope you now have a better picture of the harmful ingredients that may be present in cosmetics. Hence I do urge you to consider using organic cosmetics or natural cosmetics as a better alternative to the cosmetics that you are currently using. Do not however let my article scare you. Do know that there are also safe discount cosmetics that can be found online. Always buy your cosmetics online!

Thermage Versus Traditional Cosmetic Surgery: Which Of The Two Is More Cost Effective?

Thermage is a cost-effective, zero downtime alternative to cosmetic surgery. In Thermage, skin tissue is tautened by using radio frequencies. A cooling device is used to prevent the epidermis form burning from the radio wave generated heat that is supplied to the inner layers of the skin to initiate the creation of new collagen. Normally 8 to 24 weeks are required for the effects to be observed, although in some cases even a month is sufficient.

As reported at the thermage website the Thermage procedure is much cheaper than cosmetic surgery, and this is one of its biggest advantages. A Thermage treatment for the entire face can set you back by anything between $2000 and $5000, while the cost of a facelift conducted through surgery is normally in the $7000 to $10000 range. The clinic one goes to, the condition of the patients skin, the city, and the total skin area that needs to be treated are some of the factors that will determine how much you will have to pay for the procedure.

And additionally, as reported at vitiligotreatments.co.uk, a cosmetic surgery will show its effects for a period ranging form five to ten years but the impact of Thermage usually starts wearing off in two years. Another important distinction between the two is that Thermage, in contrast to surgery, can be done again after two years. Thus, on an average Thermage would cost you $1000 per annum.

On the other hand, the cost of a surgical facelift, though much higher in terms of a one-time payment, will fall between $700 and $2,500 a year. Clearly, in some instances surgery may be a little less expensive than Thermage. Of course, you also have to take into account other disadvantages associated with surgery, like recovery time, hospital stay, and increased risks.

As it is a voluntary procedure, Thermage does not fall under a typical medical insurance scheme. Loans and financing can be arranged with the help of several financing organizations, which specialize in helping patients fund their cosmetic procedures. You can also plan a low interest payment option with the clinic where you want to go for the procedure.

It’s a little-recognized fact ; about three quarters of human kind is vain in some way, shape or form. I am frequently a small vain myself; though there’s a difference between being disgustingly vain and making an attempt to take care of your body correctly. One consistent war humans fight is against wrinkles. In this article, we’ll contemplate what products whether natural or factory based can essentially help in reducing one’s wrinkles and products that are just talk, while making an attempt to answer a common-or-garden question from everywhere across Earth.do wrinkle creams really work? Anti wrinkle creams does help in eradicating signs of aging

Before diving into the works of reputed ‘miracle’ products, it might be useful to list some avoidable factors that point your road toward even more horrible wrinkles later in life. Major factors include sun exposure, dehydration, smoking, and drugs, the main problem remaining dehydration. Using skin moisturizing creams and such in place of alcohol-based skin products will help this, as alcohol-based products result in the discussed above and cause skin damage. Which will result in what? You guessed it! Wrinkles!.

Prevention is always the best cure; if nothing else, it will help one to find aging simpler on one’s appearance. By wearing sunblock, not smoking, and using moisturizing creams, one can reduce eventual wrinkles (while also taking better care of your whole body ). No amount of this work can completely stop wrinkles, as wrinkles are a trifling factor of age so folks depend on wrinkle creams to keep their appearances youthful.

One popular agent of anti-wrinkle creams is that usually creams manage to drag your skin a little taut over your skull and muscles and lend it more support. This is accomplished through products that add moisture to your skin. However, as much as you may think so, these wrinkle creams (or as many market them “Anti-aging cream,”) are not as miraculous as they are made out to be, almost all of the time. Really , wrinkle creams that add moisture can routinely lead to a 10% decrease in depth of the creases, which is quite heavy, but will not leave a 50-year old person looking like a 20 to 30 year old.

A beneficial association to contact for some recommendation on finding a good wrinkle cream or other anti-aging product is the Yank Anti-Aging association. This is more of a personal, underground group that investigates and experiments with many common creams and rates them. It would also be equally useful to look at a selection of reviews or search internet sites, magazines, and other things to find a helpful cream. There are anti-wrinkle cream for sensitive skin

Anti-wrinkle creams are crafted to work in a number of way. Firstly, it improves your skin quality by moisturizing usually by using the vitamin ‘retinol’. Retinol is a sort of vitamin A that is fat-soluble, so is commonly used in anti-aging creams and products

Retinol is contained in a number of natural foods, too. One could get retinol by eating eggs, liver, spinach and carrots. However, there is a straightforward benefit of a cream containing this vitamin instead of only eating it if the cream is put on at once to the area you would like to cure of wrinkles, the retinol gets at once to said area rather than the valuable material being wasted in your metabolism and not working completely on the facial cleaning you want it to be working on.Creams for aging skin should be effective.

The question approached at the start contemplated, “Do wrinkle creams really work?” we have come to a conclusive answer of ‘yes’ wrinkle creams do work to a certain level, dependent on how you consider it. Using wrinkle creams, mixed with some long term, defensive protection, can work miracles for your skin and shed years of age off your facial appearance.

It seems like every famous person out there has their individual perfume or fragrance these days. I don’t know if it’s that they believe they have something special to present to the world, or if it’s simply an self-esteem boost to obtain their “signature scent.” Just make sure that if you mean to purchase a celebrity scent, that you pay for the quality of the fragrance and not just the celeb name attached.

Make certain that any women’s fragrances you buy compliment your body chemistry. Just because it smells fantastic on J. Lo doesn’t imply that it will suit you as well. Jennifer Lopez has had so much success with her perfumes that she has created a number of them. Still, Glow, Live and Deseo are just a few. Celine Dion is another celebrity who has done very well producing and promoting a scent by her own name. Britney Spears’ Curious has also been pretty popular as well along with Midnight Fantasy, Believe, and Fantasy.

One of the latest women’s fragrances on the market that has become increasingly all the rage is Sean John’s Unforgivable. It’s not often that a man can develope a scent that appeals to women as well. Mariah Carey has two fragrances offered, but M is favored over Luscious Pink. Intimately Beckham for Women by David and Victoria Beckham is a pretty popular floral fragrance that has gained popularity over the past year.

Younger girls have gone passionate over Hilary Duff’s With Love perfume. It’s very girly and womanly. Paris Hilton has also released a multitude of fragrances, but it all began with her signature scent fittingly named, Paris Hilton. Heiress and Can Can are also tremendously fashionable. For the more wild, punk rocker chick, Gwen Stefani does not disappoint with her L Lamb and Harajuku Lovers.

In all probability the absolute number one best selling celebrity perfume is Lovely, by Sarah Jessica Parker. The name just tells it all — positively lovely. SJP followed that up with a new popular perfume, Covet.

Of course, there are an abundance of perfumes that are entirely ageless. They will never go out of style. Celebrities rise and fall; fame fades, but Chanel lives on without end! Estee Lauder has been a top seller of fragrances since the 1950s! Givenchy by Michael Hy has also been around for decades. Amor Amor by the Design House of Cacharel has only been around since 2003, but is a top seller nonetheless.

It seems that many of the top fragrances are floral in nature, but many include notes of musks, woods, fruits, or spice. Your fragrances may change as you age and depending on the time of day (or month!), your mood, or the event that you are attending, but selecting a “signature scent” is a big decision. When there’s no special occasion, this will be you. Your scent. If it’s with the help of a star, great! If it’s a timeless selection that always in vouge, fabulous! Just make sure that whatever women’s fragrances they are, you fancy then and they loves you.

Shorts season is upon us. Are you ready? Aside from swimsuits, shorts might be the trickiest clothing item to buy. In order to look good in shorts, you have to buy the right style for your body type. But which style is right for you? There are so many types of shorts to choose from: capris, short shorts, Bermuda shorts, shorts with cuffs… the list goes on and on. Don’t fret. Get to know the basic types of shorts and then follow these sizing suggestions to find the right styles for you. Don’t fear shorts. Maybe this year your shorts will actually work for you, rather than against you.

If You’re Short… Go With Shorter Shorts

You don’t have to wear traditional barely-there “short shorts” if you’re petite. Just wear shorts that are shorter, preferably with an inseam of four or five inches. Shorter shorts lengthen the leg, creating the impression that you’re not so small after all. Shorts with five-inch inseams are long enough to cover any upper-thigh flab but short enough to work for you. If you’re short and curvy, opt for mid-thigh length shorts that flare away from the body and aren’t too tight. You can pair these shorts with heels or wedges to gain additional height.

If You’re a Plus Size… Get Shorts With Some Length

If you’re plus sized and are of average height, look for forgiving knee-length shorts or capris. Straight-cut Bermuda shorts are a good choice. Look for solid colors and shorts with flat fronts and a lower waistline. Pleats and elastic only add to the frump factor by making your stomach look puffy. Couple this look with wedge sandals to add some extra length for a totally slimming look.

If You’re Tall… Go With Mid-Thigh Length Shorts

Since shorter shorts elongate the leg, you’ll want to look for mid-length shorts or capris if you’re on the tall side. Shorts with cuffs or shorts that roll up are an especially good choice because they visually break up the leg and add curve appeal to stick-thin legs. Avoid wearing heels and opt for flat sandals instead.

If You’re of Average Height and Weight… Go With Mid-Length Leg Shorts

Shorts with an inseam of seven or eight inches are universally appealing. If you want a no-fail, no-fuss solution, or you’re not sure which body type you are, go with mid-length shorts. These shorts make you look taller by showing some leg without revealing any common problem areas, like the upper thigh.

Can you really believe everything you read? When it comes to selecting skin care products, the answer might surprise you. A debate rages on as to whether products containing all natural ingredients are really better than those containing synthetic ingredients. With both sides of this issue taking a firm stand, and publishing ‘official’ report after report, it is the consumer who most often becomes lost in the maze of unfounded marketing promises and supposedly ‘guaranteed’ results.

Are skin care products with natural ingredients better?

This seems to be the million-dollar question, literally. Skin care product manufacturers right now are spending millions of dollars researching everything from alfalfa to yucca in an attempt to not only gain a competitive edge, but to grab more of consumers’ dollars.

With marketing departments working overtime, manufacturers of skin care products work hard to cleverly combine catchy phrases, attention-grabbing packaging and testimonials from ‘experts’ in the field of natural product research and development. The end results of these efforts are expensive moisturizers, cleansers, shampoos, masks, exfoliants and cosmetics that claim to work miracles on your skin, safely, and most importantly, naturally.

But are these claims true? Once again, that depends on which side of the fence you’re on when it comes to supporting natural products versus synthetic products. Before you take a side on this hotly contested issue, there’s one very important fact that you need to know.

The federal government has yet to define guidelines and regulations governing use of the term, ‘natural’. That means marketers can use the term any way they choose, irregardless of the ingredients used in their products or the manufacturing processes used to produce those products.

Although a skin care product might very well contain natural products like aloe or vitamin E, what you’re not being told is that the processes used to extract these components often utilize many synthetic materials. And even once natural ingredients are extracted, they’re usually combined with synthetic products such as preservatives and stabilizing agents that help prolong shelf life.

One of the biggest risks involved with using natural ingredients is the potential for an allergic reaction. Lots of people have food allergies, so putting products containing plants or plant extracts on their skin may increase the risks of an allergic reaction. And even if a full-blown allergic reaction doesn’t occur, natural ingredients often cause skin irritation and/or sensitivity.

Focus more of your attention on putting natural ingredients into your mouth and not onto your skin. One thing everyone can agree on is that eating a diet loaded with antioxidants and vitamins is extremely beneficial to healthy skin. The body is very efficient at processing natural foods and using the blood stream to transport these nutrients to the skin.

Find a skin care product line you trust and that works well with your skin type. Then become a loyal customer of that product line. Your skin will be happier as a result.

Sometimes I would find a shirt that I actually liked and wear it with pants that really clashed with it. I didn’t really observed at the time, as I wasn’t aware of the basic rules of fashion. I used to be a walking talking model of what not to wear. I fashioned myself as a t shirt and jeans type of guy, but even in my chiseled physique I managed to find T-shirts and jeans that were not very flattering for me. That is before I dated a style designer. She sort of took me under her arm in the fashion department. Although in most respects we observe the world in the same way, she is little more visual than I am.

She knew what to be dressed in and it mattered to her greatly how she looked. Understanding what not to wear is like understanding how to get prepared. For some people, it is a ordinary skill, but for others it isn’t. If you don’t have a natural skill to understand fashion, you might never learn. People don’t tend to tutor students in that kind of thing. That is why it can be so helpful to have someone who is fashion conscious to take you under their arm and show you what makes for a good outfit. She acted as my fashion consultant, took me shopping weekend after weekend. Even though at the time I found it annoying, in retrospect I really appreciate the effort. Her fashion council has increased my success in business and in my personal life.

Looking back on his experience, it is humours to now see a TV show that so closely models several months of my life. I had an easier time in tracking subsequent girlfriends, and I never have to feel uncomfortable about what I am wearing anymore. In the What Not to Wear BBC show, common people volunteer for a makeover by fashion consultants. The consultants are rather relaxed and charming about the whole thing, and it doesn’t seem like too much of an embarrassment. Nevertheless , I know that it takes quite a bit of courage to appear on the show. Mainly for women, it is never an easy thing to admit that you are a sloppy dresser. Although I appreciate the show as pure entertainment, I also appreciate the courage of the people who decided to appear on it. A lot of women love to get their nails manicured. So why not combine the two together? Well that is exactly what has happened. Airbrush art has combined with the manicure to give women great opportunities to use their nails to show off great artwork. Airbrush art applied to the fingernails gives a great flare to a manicure. The designs are only limited to the stencils in which the artist can get their hands on and the artists imagination.
Airbrush Art On Nails
This form of airbrush art has become very popular and a lot of salons around the world are offering this to their clients. Airbrush art is also available on fake nails and are sold at almost every store that carries fake nails. You two can get in on this craze and start you own fun and exciting business offering airbrush art on nails.

Airbrush art on the nails is not for the beginner just getting started in airbrushing. The work area is very small and the artist has to have mastered the techniques involved with airbrushing. One main problem that beginners face is over spraying. Over spraying is when the artist sprays outside of the area in which they are trying to spray. When working with nails you do not want to end up airbrushing the person’s fingers. So before attempting to do airbrush art on nails gain some experience with airbrushing on larger surfaces.

Depending on the type of airbrush art you are doing will determine the type of airbrush that you need. When doing airbrush art on nails go with either the Iwata HP-A or the Iwata HP-B. These are great for airbrushing nails. Even if you do not go with the Iwata though remember to always go with named brand and never use any knockoff airbrushes.
