Protecting Your Child from the Sun

I am sure that everyone will agree with me when I say that our little darlings are our greatest joy. As moms we protect them with the ferocity of a mother lion with her cubs. With the summer months coming up the suns rays will be bouncing down upon their little, delicate skin. Not only should we use sunscreen on our children, but sun protective clothing is also helpful. One of the greatest products that I found to accomplish this task was a hat. When my child was smaller I bought this really awesome hat that did just that. They were called legionnaires hats where I purchased them. My child had a few of them to go with different outfits. They covered the back of his little, soft neck and had a wide brim to protect his face.

I cannot tell you how much better I felt knowing that he was protected from the sun. He also looked so darn cute in this hat. My niece is having her first child this summer and that little girl is getting one from me so that she can have that same protection as my own child did.

Girls’ Mix & Match Collection by Hanes

When I think of Hanes, I’ve always pictured underwear, socks and sweatshirts in my mind. That isn’t the case any longer.

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing a few pieces of girl clothing from the Girls’ Mix & Match Collection by Hanes, all I can say is they are absolutely “adorable”.

I’ve been a long time customer of Hane’s products and enjoy seeing a new spin with this clothing line. No dull and drab here. Cute little butterflies, glittery princess crowns and my favorite, a little garden gnome – so cute. Look at the picture of this puff-sleeve t-shirt at the left.

As with all of Hane’s products these clothes are super soft, and most importantly are comfortable to wear and are made to last.

This is a little off the topic but I also took a moment to take a peek at their website and noticed something really neat. They have an option where you can create your own custom t-shirt, how cool is that?

By simply selecting the shirt you would like, adding an image and some text you can purchase your child his or her very own tee. I can’t wait to try this section out and let my boys make their own tees, they’re going to love it.
