My First LeapPad

My First LeapPad Learning System, from the family of LeapPad products, is a wonderful learning tool for any preschooler. With letters, numbers, words, learning games and an easy to use system your child will be learning right from the start.

Many of us with toddlers in our life worry about them and their learning ability. Children’s learning abilities have grown so much over the years and what is expected of them at an early age has changed since we were children. This learning system can help parents be sure their child is ahead of the game when it’s time to start school.

It has bright colors and fascinating attachments that draw children in from the very start and keep them interested throughout their learning experience. It’s hard sometimes to find things that will captivate your toddler. Their attention span is very short and after a few minutes it’s time to move on. With LeapPad they WANT to come back for more.

The various cartridges and books have easy to follow and popular characters children already know and love. The system is easy for small hands to carry and maneuver. Each system comes with the basic book, but there are a lot of other interactive games, sing-a-longs and word plays you can buy separately.

Kids love to play games and sing songs. While doing this they can learn without even knowing it. For them it’s just playing, but for us it is the security of knowing they are learning at the same time.

With large numbers, letters and words your child will never be bored. They will enjoy seeing that there are four apples in the bucket. Before you know it your child will be counting everything in the house. They will be able to associate items with letters and be able to spell small words without really trying.

This learning pad will captivate your child and build their imagination. They won’t want to put it down and you won’t want them too. With LeapPad you can rest assured they are playing with something that is safe and fun while teaching him or her all the fundamentals they need.

Fisher-Price Smart Cycle

January 12, 2008 by reviews · Leave a Comment

This is the ultimate learning toy for toddlers. Included in this system is a stationary bike, learning center and arcade system all in one. It includes an adventure game cartridge that gives your child the chance to drive, learn and play all at one time.

Fisher-Price has done it again. This system is an all-in-one system that hooks right up to the TV giving toddlers hours of fun and learning excitement.

With things like Math Mountain, Letter Creek, Alphabet Valley and Shape Lake children will be headed for a learning experience like no other. This arcade game teaches children letters, numbers, problem solving, counting, shapes, matching and the list goes on and on.

They can also race with the Smart Cycle. Whether they race against the clock or with another player they are bound to have hours of fun and laughs along with some exercise too. How can parents beat that with a video game?

With the pedals and steering your child can go at a pace that is right for them. If they don’t want to ride the bike so to speak there is a joystick they can use to continue on their tour of learning. Plus there are a lot of age appropriate levels so children are always challenged and never bored.

It comes with a learning cartridge, but other software is available for parents to purchase separately. This leaves endless possibilities for a child’s learning and playing experience.

Why not bring the arcade home and add a bit of physical exercise too? Be careful though, I found myself wanting to play right along with my son!

Graco Pack ‘n Play in Windsor Wave

Pack n Play - Windsor Wave

The Graco Pack ‘n Play in Windsor Wave is a fold up bed/playpen which can be used for naps or playtime. Has a changing table that attaches to the side and includes a bassinet for infants. Folds compactly into a travel case.

What’s The Cost: $208.98

I could not live without this product! We use it all the time! It is a very nice pack ‘n play, more than your everyday pack ‘n play because it has an attachable changing table and a baby bassinet. Is a lot of money, but given the right situation, very worth it! Those looking to replace a crib with a pack ‘n play should consider this.  It is also a great thing to use if you have a multi level house, so you can have a bed and changing table on each level. The changing table is great as it is quite a bit higher than those that come with most pack ‘n plays. No more bending over to change dirty diapers! It also folds up very quickly and easily. And of course it is terrific for travelling.  We go out of town a lot and couldn’t bear to be without this item.  It is big enough so it can accommodate both infants and toddlers. Our daughters (4 months and 15 months) both use and love this. Great product! Yeah Graco, yet another good baby item!Where to buy:

Zoobie Pets - It’s Not Just Another Plush Animal

August 6, 2007 by Mom Mag · 19 Comments

Kojo the Croc Zoobie Pet

Zoobie Pets are an innovative new three in one plush character that kids will love. They’re a blanket, pillow and plush animal all rolled into one. Voted Toy of the Year by Creative Child’s Magazine and recently received he Oppenheim Gold Award.

What’s The Cost: Under $30.00

I recently had the privilege to review one of these wonderful plush pets. My oldest son decided that he wanted Kojo the Croc, which you see pictured to the left. First of all I’m not a big fan of crocodiles and Zoobie pets come in a large variety of other safari animals such as a lion, zebra, cheetah, etc., so I was a little saddened that he chose the croc. :)
Kojo arrived today and I was eager to see what these new plush pets are all about. Kojo is actually really cute, even for a crocodile. When I first took him out of his package I was amazed at how soft he was.

A Zoobie Pet is a three in one plush animal that has three functions.

1. Zoobie pets can be carried around by your youngsters as the adorable plush animals that they are.

2. A few quick releases of two velco tabs can turn your pet into a very soft pillow.

3. A quick zip reviews a generous size, extra soft, blanket that your kids will love to snuggle with. The best part is that these blankets can easily be removed by a zipper for washing in the washer.

Overall, I am very happy with this product and they make great traveling buddies for your kids. They’re safe for children and are so soft and squishy that I don’t think any child would be disappointed with one of these little guys.
