Spring is finally here, although the weather isn’t cooperating. But, with spring comes my next favorite holiday, Easter. This holiday is known for vibrant colors and fuzzy bunnies, as well as a visit from the Easter Bunny himself.

I have a great project for young and older alike. This is great for egg hunts, decorations, or a child’s classroom party.

Supplies

Plastic Easter Eggs
2 medium or large white pompoms (or cotton balls)
1 small pink pompom
2 sheets of fun foam or construction paper/ white and pink
Pipe cleaners
Googly eyes
Glue
Scissors

Directions

The first step is to always gather your supplies, and find a protected work area. Next, with a parents help cut out your bunny’s ears using the white construction paper or fun foam. Then cut out smaller versions in the pink to fit inside the white bunny ears. Glue the smaller pink ear inside the larger white ear. Do this for both ears. Next, glue the ears to the small end of your plastic egg. Make sure to space them out. Now, using the two white pompoms, glue them side by side just above the plastic egg opening. Then glue the smaller pink pompom just above, and in the middle of the white pompoms. This makes the cheeks and the nose. Now, have a grown up cut the pipe cleaners about an inch long, then glue them next to the pink pompom nose. You can make the whiskers longer or shorter depending on your creativity. The last step is to glue on the googly eyes.

Now you have a cute egg bunny perfect for hiding candy and small trinkets inside. These cute and cuddly creations are great for hunting and children’s parties.
