Facial Issues

At the age of 35, it is expected that our bodies go through several transitions. One transition in particular I was patiently waiting for was the disappearance of my acne. Doesn’t it stand to reason that the teen years are the times for zits, pimples, blemishes or whatever you want to call them?

When I turned 30, I thought that they would end, but to my horror they just kept appearing. I have tried just about everything out there, Proactive, Biore, Aveeno, and Oil of Olay. While these products seem to lighten my breakouts, they never really cleared them completely. And, after a few weeks of use they didn’t seem to be helping anymore. That’s not to say that they won’t work for someone else, they just didn’t work for me.

One day, I came across an infommercial on a beauty line for makeup optional skin. These products are called Philosophy beauty products. I was skeptical of course, and had pretty much assumed I would have blemishes until I was 80. But, I decided to give it a try.

I have been using the Makeup Optional line for about 3 weeks now and I have to stay I am amazed. My skin is soft, smooth, and zit free. I also noticed that my skin has a healthier glow to it. I can not describe the feeling of not having to use acne cream or cover up. I always felt strange looking at acne medication in the grocery store with all those teenagers, but now I don’t have to enter those aisles again. At least until my daughter needs it.

While Philosophy may be a bit pricey, I have to say that for me it is totally worth it. My favorite products include Purity Made Simple facial cleanser, Hope & a Prayer vitamin C powder mixed with Hope in a Jar moisturizer. I also use Philosophy’s powder foundation, and I must say after you put it on, you feel like you have nothing on your face.

If you are like me, and have tried everything under the sun, only to be disappointed again and again, give this product line a try. It really did make a difference for me. These products are available online or in some high-end department stores. After all these years, your face deserves a little TLC, and we deserve to be blemish free.
