Listening

Scripture Meditation: John 10:4 (NIV)
Thought For Today: John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (NIV)

I have a cat named Scampy. He is a yellow tiger striped cat. He likes to go outside. At first, I was scared he would run away. But I soon learned-he knows my voice. Whenever I call him-he comes running. But, if a stranger calls him-he will not respond-because it’s not a voice he knows and trusts.
Just as Scampy knows my voice-we should know the voice of God (Jesus). Jesus is the leader (shepherd) of the flock. The flock consists of people who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and savior. Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
Jesus is the good shepherd. Are you walking daily with him and listening for his voice?

Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to hear your voice more clearly and help me to be more obedient and open to your will. Please, take my life and use it for your glory. Thank-You for sending Jesus to die on the cross for my sins. In the name of Jesus I pray Amen!
