Strength

Do you need strength to get through the day or a crisis? Just pray and ask God to give you strength.

Scripture Reading: Philippians 4:13 “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” (NIV)

One night I was eating at my parent’s house and we were having hamburgers. There was a new jar of pickles that needed to be opened. First, my dad tried to open the jar-but it wouldn’t open. So, mom tried to open it and to loosen the lid by hitting the top. The lid would not open. So, the jar was handed to me. I used all the strength I had and to my surprise the jar opened. Everyone told me that the Lord had given me the strength to open the lid. The lid had an invisible seal around the rim-which should have been removed before opening. The Lord promised me I can do all things through his strength. This was true in the case of the sealed pickle jar.
Today, is there something in your life that needs to be overcome or conquered? Then, why not allow the Lord to take control of your life and mind. Just ask Jesus to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins and wrongs. Then, ask the Lord to take control of your life and mind.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, I ask you to come into heart and to forgive me of my sins and wrongs. Please, take control of my life and give me strength. I give you praise and glory. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
